Emma Bunton is practicing her mothering skills on her new dog.
Newly pregnant Emma was given a chocolate brown Labrador by her boyfriend
Jade Jones for her 31st birthday last week, and is testing her parenting
skills on the pooch.
The former Spice Girl, whose baby is due this summer, said: "I named her
Phoebe - From 'Friends' of course - and she's gorgeous.
"As I'm going to be spending a bit more time at home later this year, we
thought now would be a good time to get a dog. I guess it's a good trial run
for the baby."
Emma and Jade, 27, have been together eight years and announced the
pregnancy last week.
The 'Strictly Come Dancing' star isn't the only former Spice Girl
expecting - Mel B is awaiting the arrival of her second baby this spring.
Victoria Beckham has three boys, while Geri Halliwell gave birth to daughter
Bluebell Madonna last May.
Mel C is the only Spice Girl yet to start a family.
Emma suffers from endometriosis - a condition which causes the lining of the
womb to come away making it difficult to conceive - and previously admitted
she feared she would never have children.
She said: "It was a worry but I just had to stay positive."
