Lady Sovereign claims she's more popular than Lilly Allen in MySpace and hit out Arctic Monkeys for getting recognition by establishing themselves on the internet, a way she'd tried five years ago.

The 21-year-old British MC - whose profile on popular networking website
MySpace caught the attention of rapper Jay-Z - claims she has a bigger
fanbase than her rival.
She told Britain's The Times newspaper: "I heard the other day that Lily
Allen's supposedly got more friends on MySpace than anyone. You want to go
and see who's got more friends on MySpace, love! I've got twice as many! "
The outspoken Londoner also hit out at indie rockers the Arctic Monkeys.
She fumed: "People like the Arctic Monkeys get all this recognition for
establishing themselves on the internet - I'm sorry, I was the pioneer. Five
years ago I was doing it."
Lady Sovereign recently scored a top 50 hit in the US with the single 'Love
Me or Hate Me'.
