Eddie Murphy stormed out of the Oscars after losing the Best Supporting
Actor award, it has been reported.
When Alan Arkin was announced as the winner, the entire downstairs bar
erupted into rapturous applause, but a short-tempered Eddie left shortly
after with girlfriend Tracey Edmonds.
He snapped: "It's fine. It happens. It's OK."
The 45-year-old's early departure resulted in him missing the performance of
his 'Dreamgirls' co-stars Jennifer Hudson and Beyoncé Knowles.
He also missed Jennifer collecting her Best Supporting Actress prize and her
tearful acceptance speech.
Eddie reportedly arrived in an irritable mood, sucking on a lollipop and
asking, "How do we know where we're going?" before eventually finding his
seat.
