Elizabeth Taylor celebrated her 75th birthday with 75 secret guests in Las
Vegas last night (27.02.07).
A red carpet was laid out at the Lake Las Vegas Ritz Carlton Hotel resort,
where the Medici Café and Terrace had been booked for "family and friends"
of the legendary actress.
Hotel spokeswoman Marina Nicola said: "75 people are expected for dinner and
cake. An official list has not been released but guests will be arriving
shortly after Dame Elizabeth."
Last year, the 'Cleopatra' star - who uses a wheelchair because of back
problems - denied reports she was suffering from Alzheimer's disease or that
she was seriously ill.
She has won two best actress Oscars and starred in over 55 films, including
'Cat on a Hot Tin Roof', 'Butterfield 8' and 'Who's Afraid of Virginia
Woolf?'.
It was confirmed yesterday (27.02.07) that Elizabeth's close friend Michael
Jackson is now living in Las Vegas.
A representative for the singer, Raymone K. Bain, said: "Mr. Jackson is
currently living in Las Vegas but he did not move here to shop for a Vegas
show.
"Mr. Jackson is in Las Vegas because he likes the city and found it a
convenient location to record with the artists, songwriters and producers
who are working with him in the studio."
