Liz Hurley and Arun Nayar, whose wedding party will take place in Jodhpur palace, is to spend wedding party night at his Majesty's special suite, in which Prince Charles and Camilla previously stayed.
Liz Hurley's Indian wedding will take place in a maharaja's palace, with Liz and Arun spending the night in the height of luxury. The couple will entertain guests at the Umaid Bhawan Palace, owned by the Maharaja of Jodhpur, Gaj Singh.
Liz, 41, and Arun, 43, have been granted special permission to use a magnificent art deco suite - boasting plush pink velvet and black marble furnishings - formerly exclusively used by the maharaja's grandfather.
Britain's Prince Charles and his wife Camilla previously stayed in the suite, which is usually reserved for the maharaja's close friends and family. The grounds of the palace, where the ceremony will take place, boast vast manicured lawns and a marble monument.
More than 250 guests will arrive in Jodhpur today (07.03.07) on private jets from Mumbai.
Before the festivities begin, Liz and her female guests will have henna tattoos - to symbolise she is preparing for marriage. The couple were officially wed in a low-key secret English ceremony in Gloucestershire on Friday (02.03.07). Liz said: "I cried in the church, during
Elton John's speech and during our first dance. My stiff upper lip deserted me."
