Flamboyant singer Justin Hawkins used to spend more than £1,000 a week on drugs. The former Darkness frontman has revealed he spent huge amounts of money fuelling his drug and alcohol addiction.
Justin told Britain's Guardian newspaper: "I took a load of drugs. I would say that some weeks it was worse than that." Following a stint battling his addiction at London The Priory rehab clinic, the 31-year-old has managed to stay clean.
Justin said: "I haven't touched a granule of cocaine or a drop of alcohol for months. In fact, I've given up smoking now as well." The rocker - who recently said he dreamt of representing the UK in this year's Eurovision Song Contest in Helsinki - has vowed he will never use drugs again.
"I'm not going to do anything that jeopardises my health. I didn't like it there. It's a dark place."
