Ashton Kutcher is set to star in new thriller "Lakeview Terrace" alongside Samuel L. Jackson. Ashton is currently in talks with producers of the upcoming film, which will also feature "The Last King of Scotland" actress Kerry Washington.

Ashton, 29 - who is married to Demi Moore, 44 - is up for the role of Kerry's spouse.

The film focuses on a hate campaign waged by a Los Angeles police officer - played by Samuel - against the couple because he is against their interracial relationship. Filming for the movie is set to begin in Los Angeles in June.

Ashton's previous movies include "Bobby", "The Guardian" and "The Butterfly Effect". The actor married "Ghost" star Demi in 2005 in a private ceremony at a Kabbalah Centre.
