The White Stripes are to headline 2007 O2 Wireless fest, alongside other performers such as Daft Punk, Kaiser Chiefs, and Editors to name just a few.
The White Stripes are to headline this year's O2 Wireless festival. The rock duo,
Jack White and Meg White, have joined other headliners
Daft Punk,
Faithless and the
Kaiser Chiefs on the bill for the music extravaganza at London's Hyde Park.
Organisers of the event, which runs from June 14 to June 17, claim the White Stripes' performance will be their only UK festival appearance this year. The band has previously headlined Glastonbury and Reading.
This year, the O2 festival will also take place at Leeds' Harewood House, from June 15 to June 17. Of the four headliners, Faithless will not be performing.
Other artists confirmed include Badly Drawn Boy,
Queens Of The Stone Age,
Just Jack and the
Editors. Tickets are currently on sale to O2 customers. They go on sale to the general public from Friday (16.03.07). See www.02wirelessfestival.co.uk for details.
