Cate Blanchett is to star in Indiana Jones, but her role is undisclosed yet, while Sean Connery and Natalie Portman are in line to take part in the upcoming movie.
Cate Blanchett is to star in the fourth Indiana Jones movie. The Australian actress will star alongside
Harrison Ford, who is reprising his role as the intrepid archaeologist.
It is unclear who Blanchett will be playing as details of David Koepp's screenplay are being kept under wraps, although it is believed the 36-year-old star will have a major role.
The current working title of the film is 'Fourth Installment of the Indiana Jones Adventures'. The movie, directed by Steven Spielberg, comes over 20 years after the first Indian Jones movie, "Raiders of the Lost Ark", was released in 1981.
Sean Connery is rumoured to be reprising his role as Indiana's father and
Natalie Portman is also said to be in negotiations to join the cast. Shooting for the film is expected to begin in June in Los Angeles and at other undisclosed locations around the world. It is due to be released in May 2008.
