Angelina Jolie will be a stay-at-home mother for her newly adopted son. The actress, who officially adopted three-year-old Vietnamese boy Pax Thien on Thursday (15.03.07), has revealed she will taking a break from work to spend time with her children.
She said: "I will stay at home to help Pax adjust to his new life. I have four children and caring for them is the most important thing for me at the moment. I am very proud and happy to be their mother."
Angelina also apologized to Pax for bringing him into her high-profile life, but has promised to regularly take him back to Vietnam.
She said: "Photographs and press coverage will make him upset. I'm very worried about that. I would like to say I'm sorry for bringing this into Pax's life. We will pay regular visits to your country. To the best of my ability I want to understand more about your country, to see what I can do to help."
Angelina responded to the criticism surrounding her decision to adopt for a third time by insisting all children need a loving family.
She explained: "Everyone would agree that children need to have a family. I have the ability to help children fulfill that desire. Why should I say no?" Angelina and her lover Brad Pitt have a two-year-old adopted daughter Zahara, from Ethopia and 10-month-old biological daughter Shiloh.
