Lisa Kudrow has confessed to stealing Diane Keaton's acting style. The former 'Friends' actress was among a host of people who paid tribute to the 'Annie Hall' star at an event hosted by the Film Society of Lincoln Centre on Monday night (09.04.07).
Kudrow, who presented her own personal tribute to her idol, said: "I just want to watch her every move, her every thought. She is a very strong influence. I lean on everything she says or does. I just steal. I do."
Keaton , 61, has been making films for 37 years and currently has three new films on the horizon. Her latest movie 'Mama's Boy' with Jon Heder, is due out on June 29 and she is currently working on 'Smother' with Liv Tyler and 'Mad Money' with Katie Holmes.
The evening - attended by stars including Woody Allen, Meryl Streep, Steve Martin and Sarah Jessica Parker - featured video montages of her past work and ended with a 10-minute speech from the 'Manhattan' star herself. Keaton said: "I'm not a stage actress, have you noticed? I've sweated over this. It's heartfelt, that is what it is. I master in heartfelt. I really do believe that gratitude is a hard one to kind of pull off, but it is the essence of everything for me tonight. I'm grateful, and thrilled that anybody came at all."
