Heather Locklear, Officially Single

Heather Locklear and Richie Sambora are officially divorced. Lawyers for the couple met with a judge yesterday (11.04.07) to finalise the divorce.

A source close to Heather, 45, said: "This has been an unbelievably difficult year for Heather. It's a huge relief for her that this part of her life has come to a close. She's just been spending time with Ava, her family and friends, and just keeping it low-key."

Heather filed for divorce in February 2006. A month later, Richie, 47, filed papers seeking joint custody of their nine-year-old daughter, Ava Elizabeth, and requesting the terms of a prenuptial agreement be enforced.

The couple were married for 11 years and are said to be on good terms. Richie is now dating 'Wild Things' star Denise Richards, whose divorce from Charlie Sheen was finalised last December. Heather - who recently filmed the ABC comedy pilot 'See Jayne Run' - was linked to David Spade but is now rumoured to be dating her former 'Melrose Place' co-star Jack Wagner.
