Upon having a twin, Marcia Cross admitted that she was initially shocked hearing that there are two babies in her womb.
Marcia Cross was "terrified" when she discovered she was having twins. The 'Desperate Housewives' actress - who gave birth to twin daughters earlier this year - was shocked when an ultra sound scan revealed she was expecting two babies. Marcia told Hello magazine: "I was absolutely terrified! Now if course, it's just like I won the lottery because I have two daughters and it's really just fantastic."
Eden and Savannah were born at a Los Angeles hospital on February 20.Marcia, 45, openly admitted she and her husband Tom Mahoney used IVF treatment to help them conceive. She added: "Many women delay motherhood these days. I feel very fortunate to have become a mother in my 40s.That's why I don't want to put out any fantasy that you can just do that forever and then just pop out twins."
Marcia - who married Tom last year - was put on bed rest a month before the birth as a precautionary measure, due to the strain of the extra weight she was carrying. The flame-haired actress continued to shoot scenes for 'Desperate Housewives' after producers set up cameras in her home and filmed there for two days.
