For his new movie role whereby he pretends to be gay, Adam Sandler joked that he had sex with his co-star in order to 'understand' the character.

Kevin James to prepare for their roles as pretend gay lovers. The actor claims that 'sleeping' with Kevin was the best way for the pair to understand their characters in new comedy '
I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry'.
Adam told Newsweek magazine: "I know Kevin, and it's kind of a strange thing to have to play. So to ease the tension, before the first day of shooting, we had sex with each other. We just got it out of the way so it wouldn't be an issue. It's an old tip I picked up from working with
Jack Nicholson."
The movie tells the story of two heterosexual fire-fighters who pretend to be a gay couple so they can claim domestic partner benefits. Adam, 40, claims the movie will teach audiences a lesson in life morals. He said: "This movie says there's noting wrong with being gay." 'I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry' also stars
