TV series "Lost" that is very complicated in its plot will run through 2010 when a big mystery is unveiled.
The "shocking finale" of US TV series 'Lost' will be aired in 2010. TV bosses announced they have decided how the mystery plot will conclude, but viewers won't find out for another two-and-a-half years.
ABC Entertainment president Stephen McPherson revealed: "It will conclude with a shocking finale." 'Lost' co-creator Damon Lindelof said: "Among fans there was unease that they were making an investment in a show that is complicated, without any sense of where it is going to lead them. Fans have been saying, 'Are you making it up as you go along?' - which was a legitimate question."
Another three series each comprising of 16 episodes have been planned. The show, which stars
Evangeline Lilly, 27, and
Matthew Fox, 40, is centred around a group of plane crash survivors on an unknown remote island. Fans have been gripped by constant surprises and inexplicable events - which have included polar bears, strange disappearances, and the presence of an obscure tribe called 'The Others'.
