Sting's wife Trudie Styler thinks that the court hearing makes her sounds like a queen royal who wants everything at once while the fact says that she is not like that at all.
Sting's wife Trudie Styler has hit out at last week's tribunal judgment which she believes portrayed her as "a monstrous tyrant". Trudie has blasted the damning judgment calling it a "deeply personal attack" on her character.
The 52-year-old actress told the Mail On Sunday newspaper: "It was as if the chairman of the tribunal viewed me as Marie Antoinette, reclining on my chaise longue, issuing forth imperious commands from my boudoir."
A tribunal jury ruled last week that Trudie and Sting had broken employment laws by sacking their pregnant chef Jane Martin. They could now face record payout. The tribunal hearing branded Trudie the "driving force" in sacking Jane, 41, who had worked as a personal chef at the couple's Salisbury Lake House estate. Trudie described the ruling as a "terrible decision" and "extraordinary travesty". She said: "It read as I was this lofty presence, given to grandiose pretension and unthinkingly lavish gestures."
Jane told the jury how she continued working 14-hour days despite being heavily pregnant, before being abruptly sacked from her £28,000-a-year job. The tribunal heard how Trudie allegedly liked to be treated in a "royal manner". Mother-of-four Trudie noted she came from modest working class roots and claimed the idea of discriminating against a pregnant woman was "atrocious".
