Sandra Bullock's stalker case is working on her benefit as she is granted a three-year restraining order which will put Marcia Valentine within yards off her and her husband.
has been granted a three-year restraining order against the obsessed fan who allegedly tried to kill her husband. The 'Speed' actress was granted the order against fan Marcia Valentine on Friday (11.05.07).
The judge said he found "clear and convincing evidence" that Valentine was stalking the Sandra, 42, and extended an existing temporary order to three years. Valentine must now stay at least 500 yards away from Sandra, her TV mechanic spouse Jesse James and his three children from a prior relationship. She is also forbidden to contact them in any manner.
Sandra said Valentine visited her home on at least five occasions, leaving behind "weird signs" and "pieces of animal fur". Jesse narrowly avoided being run down on the couple's driveway after he went outside to write down Valentine's licence plate number on April 22.
Sandra told the court Valentine "got angry" before aiming her Mercedes at Jesse and attempting to knock him down several times. Police found Valentine in the couple's neighbourhood the next day and arrested her for attempted assault with a deadly weapon. Valentine did not attend Friday's hearing and remains free on $25,000 bail pending a hearing on May 22.
