Denise Richards and Richie Sambora Did Split

Denise Richards and Richie Sambora have split. The couple ended their relationship two months ago, but Denise still supported Richie at his father's funeral in New Jersey last month. Adam Sambora died of lung cancer on April 21.

Denise's representative said: "Denise ended things but wanted to be there for him as a friend." A source close to the couple said: "They did break-up about a month prior to Richie's dad's death. She came to the funeral to support him."

Denise's mother is battling kidney cancer, and in February she revealed she and Richie were helping each other cope with their parents' illnesses.

The couple began dating in April 2006 shortly after Denise split from husband Charlie Sheen and Richie broke up with wife Heather Locklear. Richie and Heather finalized their divorce in April. Denise's divorce was finalized in November.
