Dennis Quaid is to have another descendant, this time two at a time through a surrogate mother.
Dennis Quaid and his wife are expecting twins with the help of a surrogate mother. The 53-year-old actor and wife Kimberly have announced the children are due to be born via a surrogate later this year.
Quaid's representative, Lisa Kasteler, confirmed the couple - who were married on July 4, 2004 - are the twins' biological parents. No other details about the woman who is carrying the couple's babies have been released.

Meg Ryan. The couple divorced after 10 years in 2001. Quaid - whose screen credits include 'The Big Easy', 'The Rookie' and 'Inner Space' - was also married to actress P.J. Soles between 1978 and 1983.
The Texan actor is currently filming '
The Express'. The movie follows the true story of Ernie Davis, the first black American football player to win the Heisman Trophy - given to the most outstanding US college football player - whose NFL career was cut short by leukaemia. The film is scheduled for release in 2009.
