Orlando Bloom would like to take a break from any movie and do the more adrenaline pumping theatre.
Orlando Bloom is to take a break from Hollywood to work in the theatre. The '
Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End' star will tread the boards in London's West End revival of David Storey's play 'In Celebration'.
Orlando said: "It's been an incredible ride. And it's been wonderful but I'm sort of psyched to do something completely different. I'm looking forward to continuing working on movies and making choices that excite me, and right now that is doing some theatre. I just really wanted to have a very organic experience. I didn't want to feel like I was in a star vehicle yet by any means."
The 30-year-old confessed he is already suffering from stage fright. He said: "I am rather terrified."
The active environmentalist has just returned from a trip to Antarctica, to witness first hand the damaging effects of global warming. Orlando said: "I saw how tragically fragile and precious the ice caps are and it made me want to do something to help. Life is about balance, and we all have to make the effort in areas that we can to enable us to make a difference."
