At 52 years old, Kevin Costner can't help to think that he would die first before his baby boy reaches teen age.
Kevin Costner fears he will not live long enough to see his baby son grow up. The 52-year-old actor, whose wife Christine Baumgartner gave birth to Cayden Wyatt Costner last month, worries he'll die before his son becomes a man.
He said: "My fundamental fear is that I will die and someone else will have to raise my new baby. I fear I won't get to coach him in terms of what it is to be a man."
The 'Rumour Has It' star says he no longer has the energy he had when raising his other children - Annie, 23, Lily, 20 and Joe, 19 - with his first wife Cindy Silva. Costner admits he uses underhand tactics to get his younger wife - who is 19 years his junior - to look after their baby during the night. He said: "I sometimes fake sleep so my wife will get up to feed or rock him."
Costner also has a 10-year-old son Liam from his relationship with socialite Bridget Rooney. The actor is currently earning rave reviews for his performance as a serial killer in psychological thriller '
Mr. Brooks'.
