After Paul McCartney sold his catalogue to Apple, Ringo Starr would also like to release his solo materials online.
Ringo Starr has signed a deal to release his solo material online. The former Beatle's catalogue - including hit albums 'Beacoups of Blues' and 'Ringo' - with record company Capitol/EMI will be available to download from August 28.
Fans will also be able to download six Starr ringtones. A compilation album 'Photograph: The Very Best of Ringo Starr' is set to be released on CD, along with a limited edition CD/DVD package featuring a film and video clips.
Starr signed his first solo recording contract in 1970 with Capitol/EMI after
The Beatles split. The agreement lasted until 1975. Starr is set to release his new solo album 'Liverpool 8' next January.
