Being a mother, Calista Flockhart feels the happiness that she had forgotten how it felt.
Calista Flockhart says motherhood has brought her "real happiness". The 'Brothers and Sisters' star has revealed she enjoyed taking a break from Hollywood to be with her son Liam, who she adopted in 2001.
Calista told Britain's Daily Telegraph newspaper: "I took the last five years to step away from working. Motherhood changed every fibre of my being and I think I can honestly say it brought me as close as I've ever come to being really happy."
The 42-year-old actress - who has been dating actor
Harrison Ford for five years - also explained she is no longer the "workaholic" she was in her 'Ally McBeal' days. Calista said: "I used to be a workaholic and very ambitious. I don't know why, but it's all melted away. I have almost zero ambition. I want to do my work and then I just want to go home and be with my family."
"I think I'm much more tolerant, and I'm probably not so focused on myself at all. Things that I used to think were important are just simply not important any more. I think in that way I've really changed."
