Calista Flockhart says motherhood has brought her "real happiness". The 'Brothers and Sisters' star has revealed she enjoyed taking a break from Hollywood to be with her son Liam, who she adopted in 2001.
Calista told Britain's Daily Telegraph newspaper: "I took the last five years to step away from working. Motherhood changed every fibre of my being and I think I can honestly say it brought me as close as I've ever come to being really happy."
The 42-year-old actress - who has been dating actor Harrison Ford for five years - also explained she is no longer the "workaholic" she was in her 'Ally McBeal' days. Calista said: "I used to be a workaholic and very ambitious. I don't know why, but it's all melted away. I have almost zero ambition. I want to do my work and then I just want to go home and be with my family."
"I think I'm much more tolerant, and I'm probably not so focused on myself at all. Things that I used to think were important are just simply not important any more. I think in that way I've really changed."
