Anna Nicole Smith's will is reviewed again following a statement that she won't inherit any fortune to any children after her late son Daniel.
Howard K. Stern was named executor of Anna Nicole Smith's estate, while Larry Birkhead was named guardian of the couple's daughter Dannielynn, yesterday (19.06.07). A Los Angeles judge ruled lawyers must return to court later this year to review the former Playboy playmate's will.
Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff told the lawyers he was concerned about a clause in Anna Nicole's will disinheriting any children born after her son, Daniel, who died last September three days after Dannielynn was born. The model died in February of an accidental overdose leaving a will dated July 2001 which named Daniel as sole benefactor. The will stated: "I have intentionally omitted to provide for other heirs, including future spouses and children and other descendants now living and those hereafter born or adopted."
One of Anna Nicole's attorneys, Bruce Ross, said he'll prove at future hearings that the clause is "extraordinary and improperly drafted" and should not stand. Ross promised to send copy of the court documents to Anna Nicole's mother Virgie Arthur.
Stern has estimated the late model's assets at $710,000 - but this could increase substantially pending the outcome of a battle over the estate of Anna Nicole's late husband, billionaire J. Howard Marshall.
