The director of the latest James Bond film has been announced. Marc Forster will direct Daniel Craig - who will reprise his role as the suave British spy - for the movie currently with the working title 'Bond 22'.
Forster, who directed the Oscar-winning 'Monster's Ball' and 'Finding Neverland', will write the script with 'Crash' director Paul Haggis - who helped pen the last Bond instalment 'Casino Royale'. Forster said: "I have also always been a Bond fan, so it is very exciting to take on this challenge. I have always been drawn to different kinds of stories."
He also said he is looking forward to working with Craig, who made his debut as 007 in 'Casino Royale'. He added: "The new direction that the Bond character has taken offers a director a host of new possibilities and I look forward to working with Daniel Craig."
Bond producers Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli said: "We are delighted that Marc Forster, with his exceptional talent and unique vision, has agreed to direct our next James Bond film."
The 22nd Bond film will begin shooting at London's Pinewood Studios this December, with a release date set for 2008.
