Samuel L. Jackson is reported replacing Bruce Willis to play a secret agent in marvel flick "Iron Man".
Samuel L. Jackson is set to star as Marvel Comic's secret agent Nick Fury. Jackson is believed to have replaced
Bruce Willis as the comic book character in new movie '
Iron Man', alongside
Robert Downey Jr.
The 'Pulp Fiction' actor reportedly shot his first scenes as the cigar-smoking, one-eyed war veteran who flies a big ship called a Helicarrier yesterday (21.06.07). Nick Fury is yet another creation by Stan Lee - the man behind 'Fantastic Four' and 'Spiderman' - who first developed the character for Marvel Comics in 1963.
'Iron Man', directed by Jon Favreau, also stars
Gwyneth Paltrow and
Jeff Bridges. The film follows Tony Stark - played by Downey Jr. - who is forced to create a life support suit after an accident and decides to use the new technology to fight crime.
It is scheduled to be released next spring.
