David Beckham won't have his wife's band Spice Girls at his L.A. mansion when the group is set to appear in the country and suggested nice hotels instead.
David Beckham has banned the
Spice Girls from staying at his Beverly Hills mansion. The soccer star, who is married to Posh Spice
Victoria Adams, says he wouldn't be able to cope if the four other girls descended on his six-bedroom home when their world tour hits Los Angeles later this year.
When asked if the girls - Melanie Brown,
Emma Bunton,
Melanie C and
Geri Halliwell - would be staying with him, David replied: "I don't know about that. I'm sure they will all have a nice hotel somewhere."
David, who moved to Los Angeles last week after signing a multi-million dollar deal with the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer team, is set to join the band on their world tour, which begins on December 7.
The sports superstar - who has three children, Brooklyn, eight, Romeo, four and two-year-old Cruz with Victoria - is looking forward to girls' much-publicised reunion. He said: "It's great for them to actually be back together. It's great for them to be celebrating the success they had many years ago. I'm going to enjoy it. I know my boys are looking forward to seeing their mum on stage."
Victoria recently declared her husband is the "official Spice Boy", while Geri joked: "Maybe we could get him to be a backing dancer!"
