Penelope Cruz claimed that her guests at first act cool and refused to sing with her karaoke set but they will soon melt down within hours.
Penelope Cruz's friends are "too cool" to sing karaoke with her. The stunning '
Volver' actress - who confessed to being addicted to singing along to her favorite tunes - is tired of her friends being too timid at karaoke parties.
Penelope said: "I have a karaoke machine at home. Sometimes I do karaoke parties. Everyone arrives saying that they are not going to sing, but everybody ends up performing. I don't force them. They all say, 'Oh I am too cool for karaoke', and then later they are all fighting for the microphone!"
The 33-year-old Spanish star also says she would rather have a quiet dinner with friends than party in a noisy nightclub. Penelope explained: "My lifestyle in Los Angeles is similar to my life in Spain. I like doing things at home, you know, long dinners with my friends. I don't like too much nightlife in places where you can't talk, unless it's to listen to music. I just fly with music. I don't need anything else. It's such an important thing to me."
