Catherine Zeta-Jones was preparing for her role in "No Reservations" by working as a waitress in an Italian restaurant where the diners failed to find her a celebrity.
Catherine Zeta-Jones wasn't recognized when she worked as a waitress to prepare for her latest movie. The 'Mask of Zorro' star - who plays a top chef in new film '
No Reservations' - was amazed it took an hour for the greedy diners at New York Italian restaurant Fiamma to recognise her.
Catherine said: "When people speak to me, I usually make eye contact. But they're listening to you - they're not looking at you - and that saved me for a while. That's why they didn't recognise me. But the cat got out of the bag, and it was time to go back to the kitchen."
Meanwhile, the 37-year-old actress - who has two children, Dylan and Carys, with husband
Michael Douglas - rubbished rumors she puts caviar on her hair to make it shiny. She laughed: "Is it true that I put caviar and truffles in my hair to keep it glossy? Yes, I spend thousands of dollars! Michael buys me caviar and truffle oil treatments for my hair. I'm not that dumb. If he was buying me caviar, it'd be in my stomach, not on my head!"
