Alicia Keys had a very rough time this year but survived because she makes music.
Alicia Keys claims recording her new album saved her life. The singer says she has managed to find inner peace through music after a turbulent year.
Alicia said: "I needed this music more than it needed me. This year's been a rollercoaster but, as down as I've been, I've learned so much. I found beauty during the dark times."
The 27-year-old star, whose new album 'As I Am' is due out in November, recently revealed she fears she will never have an honest relationship, because she struggles with her emotions.
Alicia said: "Even when you find a person you trust I don't think you can be completely honest, ever. There are still pieces of you that you don't give away. I believe you always need that place where it's just you, your thoughts, and no one else's judgement of anything."
