Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber are now the parents of a healthy baby boy named Alexander Pete Schreiber.

Liev Schreiber have become parents for the first time. The actress gave birth to a healthy baby boy at a Los Angeles hospital yesterday (26.07.07). Mother and baby, who weighed 8lbs 4oz, are both said to be doing well.
The couple have named the new arrival Alexander Pete Schreiber. The tot was almost two weeks early and friends say Naomi was determined to have a natural labor. One pal said: "Naomi was planning on giving birth next week - her due date was early August - but since she insisted on delivering naturally, she knew there was a chance she would have the baby before the due date. That's what wound up happening."
Naomi and Liev threw an intimate baby shower on Saturday (21.07.07) with an afternoon gathering at their Los Angeles home. Despite baby showers usually being female-only events, Liev was among the 15 guests, who also included actresses
Kate Hudson and
Carla Gugino.
Liev, 39, recently revealed that Naomi was having an "amazing" pregnancy. He said: "She's great. She hasn't had any strange cravings. In fact, I've never seen anyone handle a pregnancy so well. She's amazing." The couple, who starred in '
The Painted Veil' together, announced the pregnancy in February this year.
