Years after the breaking up of Guns N' Roses' original members, former guitarist Slash thinks it now feels so childish.
Slash regrets all the childish in-fighting that destroyed
Guns N' Roses. The
Velvet Revolver guitarist - who left the rock band in 1996 because he could no longer work with lead singer Axl Rose - realized how futile all their arguments were after he had to step in on behalf of feuding rockers
Van Halen.
He said: "Recently, Velvet Revolver had to induct Van Halen into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame because they were fighting and couldn't do it themselves. It changed my view. Fighting with band members is so childish."
Slash tried to end his ongoing conflict with Axl in 2005, when he arrived unannounced at his home to apologize for his behavior. He revealed: "When Velvet Revolver started, we were promoting the new record and I was harboring so much resentment about what happened at the end of Guns N' Roses that I vented all my feelings to the press. I had never got that s**t off my chest. So I apologized for all that."
