Busta Rhymes is being sued by a Bronx man who claims he was assaulted after he spat on Rhymes' car. Roberto LeBron filed a lawsuit at the New York State Supreme Court on Monday (06.08.07) alleging he was kicked in the head by Rhymes and his nine bodyguards on Sixth Avenue at 4am.
Roberto's attorney Mark Kressner said: "They proceeded to beat the hell out of him." The 20-year-old was allegedly left with concussion and a split lip.
Busta - real name Trevor Smith - was arrested for the alleged attack. 'The Big Bang' rapper's lawyer Scott Leemon said he had not yet seen the lawsuit and added: "Nothing has been proven yet."
Roberto's suit seeks unspecified compensatory damages, but Kressner added that he will seek punitive damages as well. Busta is currently facing criminal charges in four separate cases. He is accused of assaulting a former driver in a dispute over pay, driving while impaired and driving with a suspended license.
