Black Eyed Peas' member will.i.am said that his house has been modified to have microphones and recording equipments in its every room.
The
Black Eyed Peas star
will.i.am composes music on the toilet. The hip-hop star - real name William Adams - is so dedicated to creating new songs he has turned his home into a recording studio by installing recording equipment in every room of his $7 million Hollywood mansion.
will.i.am told Britain's The Times newspaper: "It's not really a house, it's a studio. There are microphones and places I can plug in everywhere, a wireless controller, so I record from anywhere. And I can log on from anywhere in the world, so even if I'm in London or Tokyo, I can still be making music."
The producer claims The Black Eyed Peas - of which 'London Bridge' singer
Stacy Ferguson is a member - didn't set out to make hit records, but to send out a political message. will.i.am, who is working with
Michael Jackson on the 'Thriller' singer's comeback album, said: "The way we were marketed when we first started out didn't honor how it was built."
He said: "We weren't trying to make hits when we made 'Elephunk'. Do you think I would have called the CIA terrorists in 'Where is the Love?' right around the time America went to Iraq if I was trying to make a record to get played on the radio?"
