Lisa Marie Recording Duet with Dad Elvis Presley has recorded a duet with her late father , to mark the 30th anniversary of the legendary singer's death. The 39-year-old star, the only child of the rock 'n' roll pioneer, cried when she first heard her voice added to her father's original 1969 recording of 'In The Ghetto', which will be available on iTunes tomorrow (16.08.07).

Lisa said: "I do think this idea would mean a lot to him. Singing this particular duet with him was more emotional for me than anything I'd done before. We had two hours to lay down my vocals. So the next morning, I heard the rough mix and I've never cried when I've done anything ever but I just lost it when I heard it."

An accompanying music video, which features Lisa and images of Elvis, will be posted on the AOL internet site Spinner.com on Friday (17.08.07). Proceeds from the sale of the song will go to the New Orleans branch of Presley Place, a transitional housing facility for homeless families.

Lisa previously recorded the duet 'Don't Cry Daddy' with Elvis to mark the 20th anniversary of his untimely death, although it was never released commercially. More than 75,000 fans have this week flown to Memphis to remember 'The King' .Elvis died after suffering a heart attack on August 16, 1977.
