For the first time in five years, Bruce Springsteen will hit the streets in U.S., Canada and Europe with his long time collaborator E Street Band.
Bruce Springsteen is reuniting with the E Street Band for their first tour in almost five years. The rocker and the group are to play 31 dates across the US, Canada and Europe kicking off in Hartford, Connecticut, on October 2.
The tour coincides with Springsteen's new album 'Magic', which was recorded with the E Street Band, and takes in a host of countries, including Spain, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Belgium, Ireland, France and the UK. Springsteen, 57, will finish the run of shows at London's The 02 arena on December 19.
He is the latest music superstar to play at the spectacular 20,000 capacity venue, following in the footsteps of
Prince,
The Rolling Stones,
Justin Timberlake and
Barbra Streisand. Springsteen made the majority of his early albums with the E Street Band before deciding to use different musicians after his 1987 LP 'Tunnel of Love'. The group's most famous member is guitarist Steven Van Zandt who plays mobster Silvio Dante in the hit US Mafia drama 'The Sopranos'. Tickets for the tour go on sale today (30.08.07).
