James Blunt built a nightclub on the basement of his Ibiza mansion that says 'Blunty's Nightclub Where Everybody's Beautiful'.
James Blunt has a nightclub in his house. The 'Beautiful' singer had a disco built in the basement of his Ibiza villa, which even boasts a bright neon sign which reads 'Blunty's Nightclub Where Everybody's Beautiful'.
He told Q magazine: "The nightclub's brilliant. It's laughable. It's tongue-in-cheek. Every after-party I went to had enormous great sound systems with lights - the works. I thought I should probably do something that was the other end of the scale. Most people who visit collapse in hysterics or debate whether they should turn around and go."
The 33-year-old star plays lots of reggae music at his disco, while superstar DJ Pete Tong regularly spins records there. He also claims Tuesdays are "Midgets' Night" because it makes him feel "real tall". Tong has recorded a remix of Blunt's new single '1973' which the DJ claims has proved popular in the clubs of Ibiza.
Blunt bought his plush villa on the Spanish party island last year for £1.7 million. He said: "I wanted somewhere my friends could come and join in the fun, which was only two hours or so away from home."
Blunt's second album, 'All the Lost Souls', is due out later this month.
