Richie Sambora has returned to rehab. The Bon Jovi guitarist – who spent a week on “detox” at Los Angeles’ UCLA Medical Centre in June – has checked into a private room at Utah’s Cirque Lodge where Lindsay Lohan is also a patient.
A representative for Sambora – who is due to go back on tour with the band next month – said he is continuing the treatment he began in June. Earlier this year, the 48-year-old rocker insisted his visit to the UCLA Medical Centre had been a "detox" and was adamant he "did not check into rehab".
Sambora said: "I was just drinking too much and I needed to get my life together. I'm still in therapy and stuff like that, but it's good. I'm great. I feel fine."
The rocker split from actress Denise Richards in March this year after dating her for almost a year. In April, 47-year-old Sambora’s divorce from Heather Locklear was finalized, while his father tragically died of lung cancer on April 21. Sambora admitted in June: "It's been a rough year."
