Kanye West is the latest added collaborator in Michael Jackson's comeback album, after Ne-Yo and will.i.am.
Michael Jackson is working with hip-hop star
Kanye West on his comeback album. The rapper-and-producer jumped at the chance to collaborate with Michael, 49, on his much-anticipated LP, his first studio release since 2001's 'Invincible'.
Kanye revealed: "I'm working on stuff for Michael Jackson. If I like a person's outlet or what a person brings to the table, then I'll speak to them."
On Wednesday (10.10.07), Michael - who has seen his career freefall since his 2005 child molestation trial, of which he was subsequently cleared of all charges - thanked fans for their support and hinted he would soon be announcing his comeback. He said: "I've been really busy lately. Soon I will be sharing exciting and surprising news with you. Your continued love and support means so much to me. I really love and appreciate you all from the bottom of my heart."
Kanye, 30, is not the only collaborator Michael is working with on his album.

Ne-Yo are also working with the eccentric star to create a newer edgy and up-tempo LP. will.i.am confessed he put the phone down on Michael when he first called him, because he thought it was a hoax. He said: "I was like, 'Come on, who is this, how did you get me number? Stop playing around.' He said, 'No it's really me, it's Michael.' I still didn't believe it was him and was like, 'Dude, seriously, I got to go.' "
The album is due to be released early next year.
