It hurts everytime Anne Heche has to imagine her son in front of her while the fact he was over the phone.
Anne Heche gives her son as much love as possible over the phone. The Canada-based actress revealed having a long-distance relationship with her five-year-old son Homer - who lives primarily with his father, Heche's estranged husband Coley Laffoon in Los Angeles - is heart-breaking.
She said: "It's hard. You have got to open up your heart as if he is right in front of you." The 'Men in Trees' star - who is currently dating her co-star James Tupper - flies to Los Angeles twice a month to be with her son, who in turn makes the trip to see her fortnightly. She said: "Homer flies a lot, twice a month to see me."
Heche - who is embroiled in a bitter court battle with Laffoon, who filed for divorce this February - says despite her recent troubles she couldn't be happier living in a log cabin in Vancouver with her new love. The 38-year-old actress told US TV show 'The View': "I'm so happy. But, I don't think anybody says, 'Yay, divorce. That was a lot of fun.' "
