Robbie Williams didn't realize that his blatant joke was air live on TV and is now afraid that American audience will not 'get it'.
' favorite hobbies are "bum sex" and "heroin". The 'Angels' star, who moved to Los Angeles five years ago, made the shocking comments as left Los Angeles' Chateau Marmont hotel on Tuesday night (16.10.07).
When asked what he had been doing lately, Robbie replied: "I have been w**king and shooting heroin. He jokingly added to gossip website TMZ.com: "What else have I been doing? Just being nasty and having bum sex."
Robbie's remarks shocked the US public when they were aired uncensored on US TV before the country's 10pm watershed. Subtitles were added to the footage so viewers could understand Robbie's strong local English accent.
The 33-year-old singer's friends have insisted Robbie - who hails from Stoke-on-Trent in the north of England - was just joking and hopes the US public weren't too offended. A source said: "Robbie didn't realize they were going to air his comments on US TV. He was just being sarcastic and he is now worried Americans won't understand his sense of humor."
Earlier this month, Robbie revealed he would be willing "to kill" for
Britney Spears. The star claimed he was infuriated by the paparazzi throng outside Britney's house and wanted to do something about it. He said: "I go past Britney Spears' house every day on the way to my hike and there are 30 cars outside, and I just want to get out and kill them."
