Jackie Chan Stretches Vocal Skill for Beijing Olympics

Jackie Chan has recorded a song for the Beijing Olympics. The 'Rush Hour' actor spent three hours recording 'We Are Ready', the official countdown tune for the games, which take place in the Chinese city next summer.

Chan - who recorded the song during a recent trip to Beijing - said he was impressed with the song's lyrics, which were composed by Peter Kam. The words include: "Waiting year after year/ We can see into the future/Together with hard work and sweat, we've created the five different (Olympic) colors."

Chan - who was born in Hong Kong - recently revealed his excitement at attending an event to mark the one-year countdown to the start of the Games. He said: "During this public appearance, I actually had goose bumps on my arms. The ceremony made me very emotional and I said to myself, 'That's our China, that's our day!' I felt this moment belonged to our China, this moment belonged to us."
