Being continuously reported to be dating Ashley Olsen, Lance Armstrong finally came out with a statement. To New York Post' gossip column 'Page Six' on Friday (16.11.07), he explained that their relationship is not more than being mere friends. He then added, "We have hung out amongst other friends, and she strikes me as a nice, smart lady."
The rumor that the two were dating surfaced after they were spotted dining together at Rose Bar in Gramercy Park Hotel, New York last October. Since then, the acclaimed cyclist and the 'Full House' star, who is fifteen years younger, were linked romantically. Last Thursday (15.11.07), Lance's daughter was believed to take the young 'Dualstar' mogul to her show-and-tell event at her school, raising more suspicions that the odd couple was more than friends.
Meanwhile, Lance's former girlfriend, Sheryl Crow, who was reportedly upset with the romance report, wrote on her blog: "Lance and I are friends. I have a lot of respect for him and what he does in the world of cancer. What he does in his personal life . . . is none of my business. Nor would I ever comment on it."
