Criticized for lip-synching, Spice Girls defended themselves by stating that they were never asked to perform live.
Being criticized for lip-synching on their most awaited debut performance,
Spice Girls came out with a justification. Their spokesman stated, "The girls were never asked to perform live as their performance was recorded for the TV show. But rest assured, the girls will be fully live for their opening tour date on December 2."
Last Thursday (15.11.07), the British notable girl band made their debut comeback performance at Victoria's Secret fashion show in Kodak Theater, Los Angeles. Though they received rave critics for their sharp and glamorous show, many noticed that they were lip-synching throughout their two songs, 'Stop' and 'Headlines', their comeback single.
Meanwhile, on November 18, 2007, Reuters reported that the girls 'Greatest Hits' album, which was released early November 2007, was overthrown from the top spot by the 'X Factor' winner,
Leona Lewis's album, 'Spirit'.
Last summer (28.06.07), the group that was famous for their 'Girl Power' motto officially decided to reunite after splitting seven years ago. Their reunion tour, entitled 'The Return of the Spice Girls', will be started next December in Vancouver, Canada.
