Having Kidney Infection, Mary-Kate Olsen Hospitalized

On Monday (19.11.07), Mary-Kate Olsen was rushed to the emergency room due to kidney infection, sparking fears she is fighting eating disorder once more.

Mary-Kate Olsen has been hospitalized with a kidney infection. The 21-year-old actress was rushed to a New York hospital emergency room yesterday (19.11.07), sparking fears she may be battling an eating disorder again.

The star's representative Nicole Caruso said yesterday: "Mary-Kate has a kidney infection. She was admitted to the emergency room earlier today. She is resting comfortably and will be released in the next day or so."

Mary-Kate - who checked into Utah's Cirque Lodge rehab facility to be treated for an eating disorder in 2004, dismissing claims it was for a drug problem - recently insisted she was feeling healthy. She said at the time: "Mentally, physically, I feel pretty on top of my game right now."

Last year, Lindsay Lohan revealed she developed a kidney infection while she was suffering from bulimia.

Mary-Kate, who along with her twin sister earned $40 million 2006, previously admitted she still has issues with her body and is reluctant to be seen in a bikini. She said: "I would love to be able to swim in the ocean in Malibu. But that is asking for a bikini shot. That's inviting something that I don't want to happen. I don't need to be on a 'Who's Skinny, Who's Fat, Who's Looking Healthy, Who's Not Eating?' list."
