Led Zeppelin Planning on 2008 Tour
Rumor that Led Zeppelin will perform a full tour in 2008 sparked after The Cult's lead singer, Ian Astbury told the crowd that they will open for the tour.
keep bringing good news to their faithful fans. The British rock band, who will reunite for a one-night gig on December 10, is reportedly set to perform a full tour in 2008. The rumor was sparked by The Cult frontman, Ian Astbury during a show in Cincinnati on Saturday (17.11.07).

MTV.com reported that the rocker gave out hint to the audience by saying, "We'll be back next year because we're opening for a band you may have heard of ... the name starts with an 'L' and has a 'Z' in it." Responded to the indication, a fan shouted, "Led Zeppelin". Much to their surprise, the lead singer nodded and then imitated typical Zeppelin's rocking style.

When asked for confirmation to the rumor, both Led Zeppelin's and The Cult's representatives refuse to give further comment. While the spokesperson for The Cult declined to give any remark, Led Zeppelin's spokesperson stated that the band haven't made any decision yet and that they are still focusing on their December 10 concert.

Ian's announcement sparked even more speculation that the band are ready to perform together again since earlier, Jimmy Page, Led Zeppelin's guitarist, had revealed that he believed it would be a silly thing to do if they are not performing a full tour. Later when asked by Reuters about the speculation, he stated, "Let's just do the O2 and we'll see what happens from there. I haven't got a crystal ball here and nor have you."
