It seems that
Jonathan Rhys-Meyers is having one hell of a week. It is reported that the TV star lost his mother on Tuesday (20.11.07), only two days after he was being arrested at Dublin Airport for screaming at an airline staff.
Geraldine O'Keeffe, who celebrated her 50th birthday last January, passed away in the Mercy Hospital in Cork at 7 a.m., 36 hours after she was admitted to the hospital. The cause of her death is yet to determined, but a press release reported that the death may be caused by a stroke.
Prior to the shocking news, O'Keeffe already has a history with her feeble health. A regular customer of The Riverstown Inn, a local pub where O'Keeffe celebrated her birthday, commented, "I saw her last week and she was in great form. I know she was ill in February but she pulled through that. We just cannot believe she is gone."
Following the news of her mother passing, Jonathan was spotted with a can of extra strong cider in hand at 10 a.m. in the street of London. Later that day, his publicist, Meridith O'Sullivan gave out statement of the news. She stated, "I can confirm she passed away, but there are no more details tonight."
