Following the arrest of Amy Winehouse's husband, it was reported that as of Friday (23.11.07), Blake Fielder-Civil has been ruled to stay in jail until January 18, 2008.
Blake Fielder-Civil's wish to be out of jail for Christmas would not come true. On Friday (23.11.07), at a hearing in Snaresbrook crown court, north-east London, the husband of
Amy Winehouse was ordered to spend more time behind bars as his plea for bail was denied by Judge David Radford.
As quoted by The Guardian, Radford said: "As you know, for reasons I have gone into in length in chambers, the bail that was granted in the matter of causing grievous bodily harm is revoked." Further, he added that Fielder-Civil and his two accomplishes involved in the case should remain in custody until January 18, 2008. He also set the trial date for the case on June 23, 2008.
Before leaving the court room, Fielder-Civil mouthed to his wife, "I love you, I'll phone you baby." In her effort to reply his silent words, the troubled singer, who looked like she was on the verge of crying, uttered that she loves him and blew kisses to him. Few moments later, he asked her, "You all right, you OK?" and got a nod as the response.
Previously, it was reported that on November 8, 2007 at 4:45 a.m., the 'Rehab' singer's husband was arrested in their house. The arrest was made since police was informed that Fielder-Civil had been plotting to fix a trial, in which he was charged of causing bodily harm to the Macbeth's barman, James King, last June. It was believed that Fielder-Civil paid as much as 200,000 pounds to pervert justice.
