Kylie Minogue revealed that she was embarrassed by her seductive wax statue displayed by Madame Tussauds previously. On Friday (23.11.07), press released reported that the pop singer insisted that she would never allow the famous wax museum debuted the sculpture if Madame Tussauds had discussed it with her in the first place.
She said, "I did not approve that! I absolutely did not. I was absolutely mortified! I arrived back from somewhere, I was in the car with the papers and I was just... I felt so humiliated. Absolutely! I'm still offended by it. I really didn't think it was funny! And there was nothing we could do about it."
The problematic waxwork, which illustrated Minogue on all fours with her bottom in the air, was replaced earlier this year with another statue in which she was portrayed wearing a red dress and was in a more proper position. Still, despite the fact that she is the only person other than the Queen of England that has been created four times and that the museum tried to please her by making her current statue as the first ever 'scented' wax figure in Tussauds, the cancer-free singer is still not satisfied with the replacement. To the Daily Star Sunday, she stated, "I don't like the current one. I've even offered to pay for its removal!"
Meanwhile, it was also reported that the star has also been immortalized in a bronze statue by sculptor Peter Corlett. The 5ft high statuette which was with lace body stocking and high-heels is placed in a sort of Hollywood's Walk of Fame at Melbourne's Docklands. The statue was revealed on Saturday (24.11.07), at the same day, Minogue released her new album 'X'.
