Realizing that she is losing fans and probably her career because of her messy appearances, Amy Winehouse promises to go to rehab if she doesn't get clean in Christmas 2007. The Daily Mail reported that a friend of the troubled singer stated that Winehouse is determined to solve her problem and thus is planning to check into The Priory this coming New Year.
Her friend said, "Amy has always been against rehab, it's been her one rule but her family and friends are working on getting her to do it. Amy finishes her current tour in the middle of December. She has promised to consider going to The Priory if she doesn't get clean over Christmas. She is miserable and, with her husband in jail, she has reached an all-time downer."
Perhaps, Winehouse's promise to clean up from drugs was also taken after she had serious talks with her management to evaluate her personal life and continuous persuasion to seek professional helps from her parents. The Daily Mail also revealed that Winehouse's father has introduced the singer to Yogabeats, a yoga-based therapy believed to be able to cure crack cocaine habits and is desperately wishing that her daughter would check into clinic.
However, on the contrary to the rehab news, her spokesman insisted that the singer, who was spotted to take out a parcel from her bra and put it up towards her nostril during her show at London's Brixton Academy, was planning to start her New Year by making another records. He stated, "She is going back into the studio to record another album."
